All Hail Bugged Out
From the get-go The Chemical Brothers have been a firm favourite within the Bugged Out franchise and this January weekender in Bognor proved just why as they primed themselves for what was another stonking headline show. Helped with a stellar supporting cast – the likes of Ben UFO and Jackmaster, Four Tet and Optimo all of whom offered a good selection of cuts to a packed and appreciative audience climaxing when they all joined forces to close the Saturday slot making it the focal point of the whole weekend for me.
Jackmasters Golf outing was not one for the weak at heart, whilst the Mixmag afters was a treasure beyond measure in its own right. Other special shout outs must go to Dusky, who on the Friday blended an absolute sublime curation of dubby house, whilst Skream closed out the Sunday with cannons and lazers supporting his drops and with his effortless mixing the Croydon DJ had the crowd in an uproar to round off an absolutely amazing weekend; and last, but by no means least, to Mike Skinner who provided some pool side beats which caused such a positive stir on the festival.
