What is it about the record that will appeal to the fans?
Hopefully I captured the feeling I had in the studio making the record and that translates to the dance floor. My fondest memories of being in a club are always in Chicago and it’s usually cold and snowing outside. There is no better feeling then escaping the cold in a hot, dark dance floor with like minded friends. I visit that scene in my mind a lot while making music!
How does it differ from your last release?
My last releases on Exploited and Classic had a touch of disco infused with house and acid. This new one is more true to the original classic style from the 80’s and 90’s. A bit more rough!
What was the inspiration for this release?
I’ve been working hard at scoring films out in LA and video games. After I made 10 songs for a new Grand Theft Auto 5 online story line I wanted to take a break and change directions. I wanted to go back to my roots and make music the way I started back when I was 18. Focus on the groove and capture a feeling in the studio that would hopefully translate to a dance floor.
If you had the chance to play this in any club, which would it be?
There are some really cool sounding clubs that I have never been to that I would love to play in like Panorama or XOYO!
